Synopsis[]

Dwayne writes a rock opera based on Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis". While Jason and Melissa like the project, Brendon would rather do his other film "Louis Louis" instead.

Plot[]

Dwayne writes a rock opera based on Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis", which he wants Brendon to help him film. While Jason and Melissa are very excited about the project, Brendon hates it, stating he does not do other people's projects, because he needs full creative control. That lack of creative control leads him to feel as though his voice is not being heard, despite being the director. This prompts Brendon to cut the project short, in favor of working on a film based on the absurdity of two famous men from France both being named Louie. Conversly to how Jason and Melissa felt about Dwayne's project, they strongly dislike the "Louie Louie" project. Jason and Melissa's persistence in wanting to work on Dwayne's project eventually leads Brendon to tell Jason that Dwayne has died, though he has not actually died. Ultimately, Brendon ends up driving his friends away, and begins acting erratically. Brendon eventually tries to get his friends back, and ends up agreeing to finish the Kafka project, after getting Dwayne to agree to give Brendon a "director's cut".
