Stephanie is Paula's old college friend. She first appeared in Law and Boarder, where she visited Brendon after he was sent to the hospital after being hit by a car. In the episode she starts having problems with her husband, Richard, and stays in Paula's home for a while. She then starts having problems in Paula's house shortly after.
She appears again in the 2002 episode The Wedding, where she becomes attracted to Coach McGuirk and attempts to have sex with him. McGuirk seems enthusiastic until they actually get in private, at which point he leaves because she's clearly intoxicated.
Her next appearance was in 2003's Coffins and Cradles, where she has created her own religion and goes door to door attempting to recruit members. She knocks on Coach McGuirk's door and it takes her a while to recognize him and remember the wedding encounter. He reveals his earlier reticence was due to her being drunk (and mentions he can still smell liquor on her breath). McGuirk puts on his Halloween costume, dressing up as a woman which ends up arousing her even more. However, McGuirk ends up having a heart attack while he is with Stephanie, and winds up in the hospital. Stephanie is distressed that she has sent another man to the hospital, the first being her old college professor.
